Google Workspace API Limited Use

Limited Use compliance statement: The use of raw or derived user data received from Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What Workspace data we receive

When a school staff administrator chooses Connect Google in VESPA Academy (Manage → School Calendar), we request:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email — to display which Google account is connected
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly — to list calendars that administrator can already access, and to read events from the calendars they pick

We use that access only to import student-facing school dates (INSET, fixtures, exams, trips, parents’ evenings) into VESPA. We do not create, edit or delete events on Google Calendar.

AI / machine learning

VESPA has optional coaching AI features. Those features use VESPA platform data only (for example questionnaire scores or a student’s own typed prompt). They are described in our AI Usage Policy.

We do not send Google Calendar event data, calendar lists, or Google account tokens to OpenAI, Anthropic or any other AI/ML provider
We do not use, transfer or sell Google user data — including raw, aggregated or derived data — to create, train or improve foundational or generalized machine learning or artificial intelligence models

Human access

Google Calendar data is stored server-side for that school only. Humans at 4Sight do not read it except as needed to maintain security and provide the school’s requested support, in line with Google’s Limited Use rules. The school can disconnect Google at any time in Manage → School Calendar.
