1. Purpose and context

4Sight Education Ltd provides software and training to schools and colleges. We process personal data relating to children and young people through the VESPA Academy platform, but we do so as a data processor acting on the instructions of the school or college (the data controller). We are not generally in direct or unsupervised contact with children; the platform is accessed by learners through their own institution, which retains responsibility for safeguarding within its setting.

2. Our commitments

We are committed to the principles of Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and to handling children's data responsibly and lawfully.
We protect children's personal data through the controls set out in our Information Security and Data Protection policies — including data minimisation, least-privilege access, authentication and encryption.
Where staff roles require it, we ensure appropriate DBS clearance is in place.
We process student data only as instructed by the customer and only for the purpose of delivering the service.

3. Reporting concerns

Any safeguarding concern that comes to our attention through our work will be reported promptly to the relevant school or college's Designated Safeguarding Lead, and to the appropriate authorities where required. Staff must raise any concern immediately with the Director.

4. Responsibilities

The Director holds overall responsibility for safeguarding matters within 4Sight Education Ltd.

Reviewed annually, or sooner on material change.
